A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) is needed for the 2025-2026 school year to provide comprehensive health services at an elementary school serving grades PreK-5 in Bloomfield, NY. This is a contract position, Monday through Friday, based in the schools health room.
Responsibilities Include
- Providing direct care to students, managing chronic conditions, and addressing acute illnesses or injuries
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Conducting health screenings and maintaining accurate health records
- Communicating effectively with students, parents, staff, and healthcare providers
- Promoting health education and wellness programs in the school setting
Qualifications
- Certification as a New York State Registered Nurse (RN) is required
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric healthcare preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills essential
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
